Our Jewellery is Made Especially For You

Making beautiful jewellery takes time. All jewellery and rings purchased through our website are made-to-order, especially for you (unless you order one of our special ready-to-ship designs). When you place an order, we schedule it to be made in our workshop and then send you a despatch date so you know when your jewellery will leave Orkney.

We are enamelling, polishing and setting stones, all by hand for you, and not simply boxing finished pieces. How long your jewellery will take to reach you depends on several factors, including the type of piece and metal you have chosen, and your shipping address.

Please review the timescales below and contact us if you require your jewellery within 14 days of ordering, or if your despatch date is not suitable. We will do our best to meet your request.

Please note:

• We do not deliver to PO boxes.

• We cannot accept liability if goods are despatched as agreed, but do not arrive on time due to adverse weather, or a problem with the postal service/delivery company.

• In the unlikely event of our workshop having to shut down temporarily, some deliveries may be delayed until work is resumed.
  

UK delivery

FREE Royal Mail delivery on all orders of £200 or more sent within the UK!

Estimated Delivery Timescales:

• Jewellery made in silver and 9ct yellow gold usually takes 2-3 weeks to be made and despatched.
• Other metals such as white and rose gold, 18ct yellow gold, palladium and platinum are sourced especially for you. Pieces made from these metals may take up to 4 weeks to arrive.

We use Royal Mail for all our UK deliveries. You will be sent an email and/or SMS message with a tracking number on the day your order is despatched from our Orkney workshop. Your Sheila Fleet parcel should reach you the next working day, but we can’t accept liability for any delays caused by bad weather or due to operational issues with our delivery providers. Please note that we do not deliver to PO boxes.

Delivery outside the UK

FREE DHL Express shipping on all orders of £300 or more sent outside the UK!

🇺🇸 From 29 August 2025, ALL orders to the USA will be subject to duty and tax. These costs will be automatically calculated during checkout. 🇺🇸

Our GBP website prices include UK value-added tax (VAT). When placing an order in British Pounds (GBP) on our website and sending outside the UK, UK VAT will be deducted from the payment total at checkout, and any import tax/duty appropriate to the destination country will be added. If browsing our website in an alternative currency (e.g. EUR or USD), your selected country's import tax is already included in the prices shown, and any additional import duty will be added during checkout.

If you need your jewellery in a hurry, please contact us as we may be able to help.

• Jewellery made in silver and 9ct yellow gold usually takes 2 weeks to be made. Depending on your shipping destination, your order can take a further 10-14 days to reach you. Please allow 3-4 weeks in total for your order to be made and delivered.
• Other metals such as white and rose gold, 18ct yellow gold, palladium and platinum are sourced especially for you. Pieces made from these metals may take up to 6 weeks to arrive.

Your order will be sent using DHL Express. This is a fully tracked service, from our workshop to your door. Please note that we do not deliver to PO boxes.

Duties & Taxes:

Pre-payment of duties and taxes is mandatory for all orders delivered outside the UK.

Customs duty and import taxes are charged by a country's customs authority for shipments that are above a minimum order value (known as the country's de minimis). All applicable duties and taxes for your order’s destination country will be added during the checkout process. These charges are calculated automatically by our website based on factors such as a product's value, country of origin, and the destination country's tariff rates. If your country does not support pre-payment of duties and import taxes, we unfortunately can’t deliver to you at this time.

Pre-payment has two benefits for our customers:

• Faster Delivery: Shipments will clear customs quicker, avoiding delays and getting to you sooner.
• No surprise charges: The price you pay on our website is the only price you’ll pay. No hidden or surprise charges when your order arrives. (This is particularly good news for anyone sending a gift overseas—nobody likes to get a gift and then pay a fee!)
